F.O.S.–inulin extracted from chicory root is an excellent prebiotic to increase the Bifidobacteria population in the colon, which contributes to human health in many ways.
Psyllium Compound is an excellent source of fibre. It purifies, decontaminates, and is 100% natural. Psyllium is a bulk-forming laxative and is high in both fibre and mucilage. The laxative properties of psyllium are due to the swelling of the husk when it comes in contact with water. This forms a gelatinous mass that keeps feces hydrated and soft—provided psyllium is taken with sufficient water. The resulting bulk stimulates a reflex contraction of the walls of the bowel, followed by emptying.
This formula has the property of softening the stools, helping to complete elimination, and removing toxins and waste from the intestine.
Psyllium is used in herbal medicine as a bulk-forming laxative and to promote bowel movements by increasing bulk volume and water content. Psyllium provides gentle relief of constipation and/or irregularity.
Adults 19+: Take 1 teaspoon twice daily. For each gram of psyllium, take with at least 30 ml of liquid (water, milk, fruit juice, or similar aqueous beverage). Drink immediately and maintain adequate fluid intake. Effects observed 12–24 hours after the first dose; results may take 2–3 days. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications. Avoid long-term use and consult a health-care practitioner for use beyond 6 weeks.
