Suggested Use

Adults ≥ 18 years:

Directions of use: Adults ≥ 18 years old: Take 1 scoop three times daily 30 minutes before food or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Put one 5 g scoop of Modified Citrus Pectin into a glass. Add liquid (water, juice, or tea). Do not stir yet: Let sit 3–5 minutes to allow the powder to rehydrate. Stir contents until powder is dissolved.

Cautions and warnings: This product provides significant amount of sodium and potassium. Consult a health-care practitioner if you have a kidney or heart condition.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not use other potassium-containing supplements or with potassium-medications, especially those with increased serum potassium such as potassium-sparing diuretics or angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors; if you have a gastro-intestinal ulceration or obstruction; or if you have adrenal insufficiency or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.

Known adverse reactions: Diarrhea, stomach irritation, nausea, slowed heart rate, and abnormal heart rhythm may occur. Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner immediately if you develop severe stomach pain’ irregular heartbeat; chest pain; vomiting; or symptoms of hyperkalemia such as weakness, tingling or numbness of the extremities, listlessness, confusion, cold skin, grey pallor, low blood pressure, or muscular or respiratory paralysis.
