Modified citrus pectin (MCP) is a complex polysaccharide sourced from the soluble fibre of lemon peel. It has a low molecular weight and size, which allows it to pass through the intestinal brush border into the bloodstream for better absorption. Once within the circulatory system, it gains exposure to every tissue and organ system within the body to exert its gentle detoxifying action. It selectively binds to accumulated toxins, such as arsenic and harmful metals including lead and cadmium, for safe and effective urinary excretion. This form of elimination does not alter the kidney’s critical task of mineral retention for calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, or selenium.
Adults ≥ 18 years: Take 1 scoop three times daily or as directed by your health-care practitioner. Add to water or juice and let sit a few minutes before stirring. Consult a health-care practitioner for prolonged use (beyond 4 weeks).

Cautions and warnings: This product provides significant amount of sodium and potassium. Consult a health-care practitioner if you have a kidney or heart condition.
Contraindications: Do not use if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. Do not use other potassium-containing supplements or with potassium-medications, especially those with increased serum potassium such as potassium-sparing diuretics or angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors; if you have a gastro-intestinal ulceration or obstruction; or if you have adrenal insufficiency or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Known adverse reactions: Diarrhea, stomach irritation, nausea, slowed heart rate, and abnormal heart rhythm may occur. Discontinue use and consult a health-care practitioner immediately if you develop severe stomach pain’ irregular heartbeat; chest pain; vomiting; or symptoms of hyperkalemia such as weakness, tingling or numbness of the extremities, listlessness, confusion, cold skin, grey pallor, low blood pressure, or muscular or respiratory paralysis.
